About this role
The Pre-Series Specialist position is a critical leadership role within Material Logistics Management (MLM). It is a corporate-based position with a focus on building an understanding of Stellantis processes and systems. This ensures timely material availability for pre-production builds.
The successful candidate will use their inventory management skills to work closely with the supply base and various other functional areas. These include Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Plant Scheduling, Specifications, and Follow-up. They root cause delays, prioritize, report, escalate, and resolve supply issues in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Interact daily with supply base on part availability timing and low cost shipping. Lead critical part discussions with engineering, supplier quality, purchasing, and suppliers. Responsibilities include ensuring program timing milestones and deliverables related to pilot part availability are met.
Root cause constrained part supply issues and drive resolution while escalating delays. Prepare and report pilot part delivery status to senior level management. The role demands handling multiple projects in a fast-paced automotive pre-production setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business or a related field
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
- Public speaking skills
- 18 months experience in prior manufacturing or supervisory role
- Previous experience working in a union environment
- Ability to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and application
