About this role

Process purchase order requests for materials and services, procuring them in a timely and cost-effective manner. Execute the complete procurement process from preparing competitive bids through commercial evaluation, recommendations, and purchase order issuance. Enjoy coordination, execution, reviewing, and analyzing procurement of materials, services, equipment, and supplies.

Develop, negotiate, and assist in executing supplier agreements while obtaining optimized pricing for company-wide cost savings. Maintain records per policies, procedures, and SOX requirements, then issue and approve purchase orders according to Supply Chain Management, Legal, and DOA policies. Investigate issues, act as liaison between project managers and suppliers, and mentor staff.

Work in an office environment with Enbridge's FlexWork hybrid model. Eligible for variable daily schedules, compressed workweeks, and work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. Role requirements determine specific flexibility options.

Requirements

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Economics with 2 years of experience within Supply Chain primarily as a material/service buyer or equivalent business knowledge
  • Enrollment in a SCM related professional certification such as PMAC or ISM considered an asset
  • Thrives and works well under pressure in fast-paced environment due to high volume of requests
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Legal, and Delegation of Authorities Policies
  • Ability to analyze commercial bids and make recommendations
  • Experience maintaining procurement records per SOX and audit guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Develop, negotiate, and assist in the execution of supplier agreements
  • Obtain optimized pricing and cost-efficient methods to assist in company-wide cost saving measures
  • Maintain records in accordance with established policies, procedures, and audit guidelines/SOX requirements
  • Issue and approve purchase orders per Supply Chain Management, Legal, and Delegation of Authorities Policies
  • Investigate and facilitate issue resolution relative to procurement activities
  • Act as a liaison between project managers/consultants and suppliers prior to issuance of order
  • Mentor, guide, and train department staff or end user department personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned
