As Warehouse Assistant (Material Handler) in Johor, operate forklifts for loading, unloading, and transporting materials within warehouse and production areas. Ensure safe handling of materials, avoiding damage, while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of inventory using warehouse management systems.

Collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient workflow and proper storage practices. Assist in housekeeping to keep storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with company standards. Report any operational or safety issues to the warehouse supervisor.

Locate and move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment, identifying damages, shortages, or quality deficiencies. Support stocktaking and inventory management activities. Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and ability to suggest practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • SPM or Diploma in Logistics or related field
  • Forklift certification from a recognized training institution
  • At least 2-3 years of experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse procedures
  • Ability to operate different types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck)
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, especially within manufacturing environments
  • Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Report any operational or safety issues to the warehouse supervisor
