Join CRST as a Fleet Manager and play a critical role in overseeing daily fleet operations for the Specialized Solutions division. Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, compliant with safety and legal requirements, and operating efficiently to maximize productivity while controlling costs. Oversee all aspects of a fleet of 20-25 Owner Operators, managing relationships to boost driver satisfaction and retention. Track and trace drivers daily, resolve challenging issues, and coordinate deliveries to ensure on-time arrivals. Communicate effectively with planners, bookers, customers, and drivers while fulfilling all customer requirements.

Work within CRST’s Specialized Solutions, the carrier of choice for on-site, high-touch handling in tech, communications, electronics, and healthcare industries. Manage van equipment, update macros for trailer changes, and handle safety documentation like PM/DOT and OBD-CTC. Collaborate closely with drivers and equipment personnel in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Develop driver success through clear communication, analytical oversight, and organizational skills to manage expenses and achieve revenue goals. Support experienced drivers who safely load, unload, and set up products for consumers and companies. This role offers opportunities to lead, optimize, and deliver in a dynamic supply chain setting.

Requirements

Four-year degree preferred or applicable work experience with demonstrated success
Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to manage driver relationships and coordinate deliveries
Analytical skills to maximize productivity and minimize costs
Organizational skills essential for fleet oversight and documentation
Knowledge of safety requirements including PM/DOT and OBD-CTC
Understanding of billable charges for customers and drivers
Experience resolving logistics issues and recoveries

Responsibilities

Manage a fleet of 20-25 Owner Operators to achieve revenue goals and maximize profits
Track and trace all drivers daily to confirm transit is managed
Resolve challenging issues/recoveries and communicate to planners/bookers/customers/drivers
Ensure that all customer requirements are fulfilled including required service, van equipment needs, trailer needs, and CRST BOL
Coordinate with planners on new load plans and challenging issues
Manage van equipment with drivers and CRST equipment personnel
Provide all PM/DOT, OBD-CTC documentation received in a timely manner and all safety investigations
Review driver vouchers before sending them to processing
