The Plant & Transport Manager oversees operational efficiency, safety, regulatory compliance, profitability of plant & transportation activities within an assigned geographic area. Manages resources, coordinates logistics, ensures operations align with company policies & industry regulations. Based in Winsford, Cheshire with travel to operations as required.
Oversee multiple sites and equipment, implement carbon strategy including recommending investments, divestments & fleet replacement plan. Improve safety, reduce emissions, analyse driver behaviour, review fuel consumption & idle times, intervene with driver & operator training. Develop & maintain relationships with suppliers & regulatory agencies.
Prepare & present reports on operational performance, develop plant & transport policies & procedures. Oversee safety & environmental policies, transport regulatory standards, manage budgets, collaborate with cross-functional teams. Lead team of plant & transport personnel, fostering continuous improvement & safety culture.

Requirements
- Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (TM CPC)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- FORS Advanced Practitioner qualification
- Experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management
- Strong understanding of safety regulations
- Knowledge of transport regulatory standards
- Experience overseeing plant equipment and fleets
Responsibilities
