About this role

The North America Senior Supply Chain Manager leads overall Logistics, Customer Service, Forecasting, Imports, Exports, and Inventory Management within Functional Ingredients and Health and Nutrition groups. This role currently leads a team of 10 people across these supply chain segments. The position interacts heavily with North American Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and Executive Management while serving as a key member of the Global Supply Chain team.

Partnering with North America and Global Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Executive Management, the role drives supply chain for the Dubuque factory and imported gelatins and collagens from Europe, South America, and China. It oversees customer service and order management for approximately 150 accounts, forecast accuracy, and logistics for 36-40,000 tons of freight annually via truck, container, and rail.

Responsibilities include inventory management to meet working capital goals, ensuring SOX compliance, and engaging with customers, freight carriers, warehousing, and customs partners. The role follows all food safety procedures to promote a food safety culture and handles all other duties as assigned. Work occurs primarily in office environments with periodic interactions in customer and Rousselot plant settings.

Leads development and execution of a regional plan for the Nafta Region aligned with Global Supply Chain plans. Involves 10-20% travel to customers, trade shows, external and internal meetings. Reasonable accommodations may be made for essential functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain management OR In lieu of a college degree, 12+ years of supply chain management
  • Valid Driver's License, Passport and right to work in the U.S.
  • Experienced user of JDE and Oracle, as well as high level fluency in Excel
  • Well organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Solid communication skills – written, oral and listening
  • Self-motivated; self-starter
  • Works well with all levels of the corporation
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to customers, trade shows, external and internal meetings

Responsibilities

  • Lead Supply Chain management of the North America factory in Dubuque, IA
  • Manage Supply Chain for Imported Gelatins and Collagens from Europe, South America, and China
  • Oversee Customer Service/Order management for North American customer base of ca. 150 accounts
  • Drive Forecast accuracy for the North American customer base
  • Manage Logistics of 36-40,000 tons of truck, container, and rail freight per year
  • Handle Inventory Management of Domestic/Imported products to achieve Working Capital goals
  • Ensure SOX compliance in all aspects of the Supply Chain
  • Develop and execute a regional plan for the Nafta Region aligned with Global Supply Chain plans
