As a Livestock Truck Driver (Class 1A), you will play a key role in the humane and responsible transportation of livestock (pigs) between manufacturing facilities. Your daily responsibilities include ensuring humane transportation in accordance with animal welfare standards, strictly following biosecurity rules, and performing pre-trip inspections. You will report maintenance concerns, maintain a clean tractor/trailer, and complete paperwork accurately. Expect to work flexible hours in extreme temperatures from +40 to -40 degrees Celsius.

Requirements
- Valid Class 1A Driver’s License with a favorable Driver’s Abstract
- At least 1 year experience driving with a Class 1A license; 3–5 years truck/trailer experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of livestock handling experience
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions and extreme weather
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Responsibilities
- Ensure the humane transportation of livestock (pigs) in accordance with Canada Packers’ animal welfare standards and guidelines
- Strictly follow all biosecurity rules and policies
- Perform daily pre-trip and regular truck/trailer inspections
- Report all maintenance or mechanical concerns to the supervisor
- Maintain a clean, organized tractor/trailer unit at all times
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
- Work flexible hours, including some weekends, based on operational needs
- Operate in extreme temperatures ranging from +40 to -40 degrees Celsius
