Own carrier performance, contract compliance, import/export operations, and enterprise freight reporting while pushing for smarter processes and stronger partnerships. Develop comprehensive domestic and international freight strategy supporting organizational growth. Lead carrier bid evaluations, negotiations, and performance management of 3PL partners.

Partner with Sales, Operations, finance, and leadership as logistics subject matter expert building credibility and trust. Collaborate with IT to optimize ERP, TMS, and carrier tools for productivity and visibility. Champion process standardization with customer-first mindset enhancing experience and profitability.

Drive cost containment through data-backed analysis and process improvements without compromising service. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to stay ahead of market shifts. Thrive as hands-on, energetic leader solving complex problems, leveraging data, and influencing across organization levels.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent of education and experience
8+ years of progressive logistics leadership experience in a distribution setting
Proven success using data and analytics to improve cost, service, and efficiency
Strong experience negotiating with domestic carriers, international freight providers, and 3PLs
Deep understanding of domestic transportation and import/export compliance requirements
ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead, prioritize, and execute multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and continuously evolve comprehensive domestic and international freight and logistics strategy supporting organizational growth
Own logistics performance end-to-end by establishing KPIs, analyzing trends, and delivering insight-driven reporting
Lead carrier strategy including bid evaluations, contract negotiations, compliance, and performance management of carriers and 3PL partners
Drive cost containment and optimization through data-backed analysis, negotiation, and process improvements
Champion process standardization and scalability while maintaining customer-first mindset
Manage day-to-day import and export operations ensuring service excellence, compliance, and cost discipline
Partner with Sales and Operations to design logistics solutions enhancing customer experience and profitability
